Individual Benefit Account (IBA)

In order to attract and retain the highest quality staff, ANVIL Systems Group provides employees with an Individual Benefit Account (IBA). The IBA places the power of choice in the hands the employee.

The purpose of the IBA is to provide attractive benefits to all full-time employees on a flexible basis that enables each employee to select the benefits that best suits their needs. Whether those needs are paid time off, medical expenses, prescription drug expenses, cash disbursement, or a combination of any of these, the IBA provides flexibility to help you meet your specific objectives.

Some uses for the IBA include:

  • Medical insurance provided through Anthem BlueCross BlueShield
  • Dental insurance Vision care plan
  • Time off with pay
  • ​Tax-deferred 401(k) pension account
  • Additional taxable income

IBA benefits accrue monthly in an amount equivalent to 50% of the employee’s monthly compensation rate.  IBA benefits used under the plan are debited against the employee’s IBA in dollar amounts.

The effective dollar amount of this accrual is in addition to an employee’s salary.

Tax-deferred 401(k)

The tax-deferred 401(k) is a qualified retirement plan defined by ANVIL System Group that is funded monthly on the employee’s behalf through the IBA in an amount equivalent to 25% (up to the IRS contribution limit) of the employee’s compensation.  There is no matching contribution required.  Employees may further fund their 401(k) through the IBA, salary deductions, or a through a combination of the two up to the IRS contribution limit.

Employees are fully vested in their 401(k) on the first day of their employment.
